Hey guys just wanted to share something Kris and I are doing for at risk children here in our community. We volunteered for A program that helps at risk children see better things out there than getting into trouble. They are from east Salinas and there age ranges from 8-22 years old. The organization is Rancho Cielo youth group...Anyway we Volunteer every Tuesday from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. At the end of each 4 week period we will have A fishing derby, for the kids... Its A great location in the hills of Salinas on A hundred acre ranch.. There are two separate ponds stocked with nice size fish! The kids are having A blast! They get bused up from rec centers by the city of Salinas...If any of you anglers would like to donate old lures or any bass equipt its A great cause! I promise I wont put in my arsenal!!!!... Anyway pm me if interested.....Andy

thats cool man , when i was young the harbor master out here started a lil club for us as well, we would sit on the dock and catch striper after striper with a few catfish inbetween  , it kept most of us out of trouble during the summer , the hustler in me figured to catch mudsuckers/gobies and sell them to the fishermen at 25 cents a pop or 5 for a doller right there at the dock , the old baitshop was losing money on them but they never complained , me and my old buddy "quoc" split the business and with our small earnings bought fishing gear(with our parents help).

when i see you ill thro some lures ur way

I will donate some rods and reels.  I'll bring them when the next time we meet.

I like your style Fish Master1.  Your endeavors are noble and admirable as well.
I've always wanted to give back like that an am more encouraged to do something like
this in my area now.
Kinda wish I lived closer to volunteer. (fishing private lakes for a good cause always
sound's good to me!) :smt001

Very cool Andy.

I don't have any Bass gear, but I work right up the road from you in Watsonville and would be stoked to come help out and volunteer if you all ever need some extra manpower...can't make it down every Tuesday, but if I know in advance that I need to get out of work (or away from taking care of my daughter in the afternoon) I can usually swing it.

Thank you for the good things you are doing for the community.

Jim

I think I still have a couple of small spinning rigs. I'll bring them to GMS.
