Hey Andy,
If you are planning on attaching a 3 point strap to carry the bb. Make sure you mount it as low as possible, so when you backpack it everything will sit up higher and not bounce around on your legs. The top center hole for the straps is the most important, I am sure you will put an O ring on the bottom of this hole? This will serve as your vantage point for anchor line, which will be nice and centered. Make sense? Send you pics of badass board later :smt001

Bottom....... :smt004

Hey Andy,

You'll probably want the top of the backpack straps to come to one anchor point... or two points close to each other.  Think of a backpack & how the straps come together - a lot more comfortable and stable that way.   :smt001

You can get a motorcycle bungie spider strap at Cycle Gear that would be perfect for securing a catch bag to the deck when you come in and out. I like to work my abs underwater so you could attach a two foot lead to it. New rifle slings might be $$$. i would try goodwill to sacrafice an old backpaack of its straps.
