Sandman and I met Goutless Angler and Shicken around 830AM at ARW. Blowin 15-20 knots with white caps and 2 ft wind waves pushing straight up the ramp. Decided to go to Denny's for breakfast and call it a day.  :smt005

Good call guys.

Much the same over here in Capitola. I walked the yak down at 6am, saw the seas and felt the wind gusts and turned around and went back to bed. My first halibut of the year will just have to wait... :smt009

Sincerely,

Jim

Gnarly is right! I woke up at 6:30 looked out the window and went back to bed based on the way the tree's were blowing around.

Breakfast was a good call!

I hit a beautiful, glassy Humboldt Bay this morning and perch fished for an hour or so at high tide.  Had some nibbles and one womp of a bite, but no hookup...   :smt012  As the tide turned and started going out I headed back up-bay toward my truck.  Got to the end of the open water paddle and decided to drop a line for a last try at a perch.  Wind goes from variable/5 knots to sustained 15 knots+ in about 2 minutes.  Strong SE wind that was forecast to hit here later in the day...  It was hairball.  Weird Spring so far.
