Lake Tahoe and Donner....Beautiful Catch

   I had an itch and needed to scratch it so I loaded up the truck and headed up the mountain. Didn't so much sniff a fish but I did "catch" a couple beautiful days on the water that included spectacular views of the mountains and lakes. After fishing Wednesday on Tahoe I met up with "Zilla" for a bite to eat at his local all you can eat sushi bar. Two hours later and stuffed to the gills I made my way to Truckee for the night.
   Thursday morning I met up with "Bird" at Donner for another gorgeous morning on the water. It was a bit chilly to say the least but the blue skies and glassy water were another great "catch". The fish weren't willing to bite and the wind showed late morning so we called it a day. Tahoe and Donner at this time of year with it's dry roads, abundant views of snow, and lack of crowds was definitely the scratch to cure my itch.
   

The best kind of catch is the one that fills your soul creel.

definitely looks beautiful up there.  too bad on no fish but it's better to be on tahoe and catch nothing than being at work and catching nothing!

now you're making me want to head back up there but my schedule is just too packed.
