Work has been a B**** so this is late, but that lake is so pretty I had to say so.

Got there about 7, and the wind is blowing. Decide to put in anyway and by the time I'm paddling the wind reduced itself to a gentle breeze. All right! By the time I got to the main body of the lake it was like a hurricane ... well, a pita wind anyway. Blew me around like a leaf on the water.

Messed around all day. Caught one little small mouth. The only radio noise of the day was one guy, "Boy are we catching fish! --- April Fools".

On the way home my (new) alternator freezes up and burns off the serpentine belt. Thank god for my diesel motor and a cool evening  :smt002

I had no idea how pretty Comanche is. Definitely going back there sometime.

Looks like a spotted bass to me.  I love catching spotted bass.  Good job on a tough lake and under tougher weather conditions.  Were you after bass, trout, or anything that bites?  Thanks for the pretty pics and the report, because that lake is on my to do list...

I'm sure you guys are right. I'm still figuring these fellas out. Didn't look much beyond the red eyes and horizontal stripes on the head otw... but looking at the body now I get it.

If not for the wind it would have been a perfect day. And I could easily have have stayed closer to the launch, but I wanted to see the East end of the lake.  It's a great place.
