This is my annual spring week off from teaching school...and a chance for me to hunt for big bass.  So far the first four days have not produced any monster bass, but several very nice largemouths have been caught and released.  The spring spawn is back, and I am looking forward to a big bite sometime this week.  Most of the fish are eating the T-rigged stuff.  A few have pounded the spinnerbait and the crankbait.  I'm hoping for a big fish on the swimbait in the next few days.  I am averaging 5-6 bass per trip, most in the 2-3 pound range.  Today was my best day of the week so far, 12 bass, including the 6 pounder and a 5 pounder.  Here are a few pictures of my adventures:

5 lb 8 oz

4 lb 15 oz

A 13 inch crappie

5 lb 7 oz

6 lb 5 oz

You're a bass-animal, as we all know!  Great report and pics.  That first pic is likely the most awesome bass picture I've ever seen in terms of color and lighting.  Nice one, Man.   :smt001

Hot Damn Bry! Those are the best looking and colorful bass I have seen all year or last year. I am so happy your vacation is working out. You had sun over there today? Dude, it was like 40 degrees and raining in Petaluma today. Like winter conditions.
