Jedmo wanted some orange and brown swimbaits with orange flake and some motor oil  swimbaits.  I decided to play around with some createx and see if I could make the heads with orange sparkles too.  The createx is a pain in the butt to put on and keep from dripping but it makes a really nice looking and durable finish.  Createx is made for putting a thick clear weather proof material on a table top.  Found it at Michaels craft store.

Nice!  The only createx I know is the airbrush paints.  Good stuff, my airbrush spray well.  Is the stuff you got like a laquer?  Is is stronger than epoxy?  Sounds intresting!

The colors look great.  I have been playing around with some 4 color swimbait pours.  They look great but are tedious to pour!  I can't wait to see your octopus poured!

Take care, Matt

Sorry Matt not Createx but envirotex lite.  Yeah it's like a lacquer only fifty times thicker.  It seems to be really durable to me.  You can get it at Michael's for thirty dollars.  Get a coupon for fifty or forty percent by googling Michaels coupon and it's a lot cheaper.  The effect and durability are great, but it's a pain to put on with out something to spin it slowly while it dries.

Sail fish I have some extra heads and swimbaits now but I want some shrimp.

Planning on being at gs4 but my health has taken a dumper and I've been to lazy to get back into the doctors so who knows.

I think Jed can catch fish with just a plain hook.
He skipped fishing the last half of the season last year and he still was on the top 10 of aoty.

Andy, I certainly hope to you can make it!  I know what it is like to have health problems.  I have a chronic illness that really makes it hard some times.

Even if you just come to camp would love to meet you and swap ideas.  I always love another tackle junky!  I don't make near the quality lure you do; but I do love it and an getting a lot better the last few years.  More than enough to enjoy myself and catch fish.  I love seeing your ideas and what you come up with.  I have an idea for an octopus/squid swimmer I will post up for you to critique soon.  I think it will make an easy hand pour.  Still working on it but will keep you posted.

Take care and hope you get better for GMS 4!

Matt

Thanks Matt.  I've seen some really nice swimbaits you've done with crayons for color.  Pretty cool.  Hope to see you up there for gs4. Andy

Andy, if you got a BBQ motor break it out and make a jig holder to attach to it. That's how I dry my rodwrappings. Works great.
