Sooo FishWorks and I met up at 5:00am in West Sac. and carpooled to Lake Berryessa. Paid the $15 launching fee and got on the water about 6:30am. As soon as we passed the last 5 MPH buoy......first fish on, then 2nd, 3rd, 4the well you get my drift  :smt044 all 30' down on a white UV hoochie/Sling Blade, and tipped with dyed pink corn. The other pole was toplining and never reeled in a fish on that pole all day. We never made it out if Markley Cove on the yaks. The bite was red hot up until 11:00am! FishWorks will add his postings soon too. I had over 14 hookups all Kings, and many missed strikes. Ricci busted out the BBQ grill again and we had a awesome lunch. Enjoy the pics.

All i have to say to is.....The Berry bite has Began! Me and Gary slayed them kings and kokes today! I was actually very surprise how well the bite end up being, especially for Gary who was just hammering them one after another for like 3 hours straight, all kings!!! I finally got on the wagon a lil later, finishing the day with 3 boated, 2 kokes, 1 salmon, 2 SDR, 3 LDR, and a few missed bites! lost the first fish of the day by trying to lift it in the boat instead of netting it!!!! All my fish were caught on a Pink RGT chasing a gold dodger! yup 30 feet as well! Pink and white seemed to be the colors of choice. Overall, the weather was great, lake was full, and the fish were biting.Lunch was once again Awesome and Berry sure Beat the Hell out of folsom for king fishin! Not as big as folsom kings(for now), but a whole lot more willing to bite. I kno where ill be this weekend!!!!

i know gary uses a downrigger, not sure about ricci.

nice going guys, one of my favorite lakes for the variety of fish. too bad you didn't find one of those 17" kokes they have been talking about.  i am trying to convince my wife to let me go there mid april but that's still in the air.
