3 LONG YEARS! The curse is finally broken! Like a few other NCKA folks, it took me a long time before I managed to catch my first legal sturgeon. Thank you to Jed for going with me on Saturday, and to Ravensblack for cluing us in to the spot! After all these years of watching everyone else around me hookup, you can't imagine how nice it is to finally catch one just weeks before I move away to Idaho!

If you all saw the big picture of my mishaps, you all would have come to my assist. Everything was all me for the most part. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. :smt002 I'll let Jay chime in if it has to go
that far. :smt008

Thanks Adam!  :smt006
As far as the "assist" goes, his snare got caught on one of his hooks and cause his snare to close prematurely. I untangled the snare, reopened it and gave it back to Jed. Jed had his rod with him the whole time controlling the fish. I didn't lay a finger on that fish. He hooked, snared, and landed the fish himself  :smt003

a double   -   NO   SKUNKER    -.  And only a short time apart,  when did both of you get your heart rates back down to normal.  It looks like it was after you both got on dry land, judging by the looks on your faces.
