Finally convinced my wife to let me take my daughter Valentina out on the kayak!!    :smt003

Left the poles at home for her first time so we could just focus on getting her comfortable OTW.  Took awhile to get her to run out and jump in with me, but once she was on we had a blast together!!!

Paddled out to to the kelp, saw some otters and came back in safe and happy!!

Then I snuck back out alone and drifted for an hour or so, hoping for a flattie while watching the sunset...no luck, but plenty of fun!!   :smt004

Here are some pics!!

Sincerely,

Jim

Ha ha! Good stuff Jim. I'm glad you had a great time OTW with your daughter. When will she get a NCKA account?

Was today great at Capitola or what? Me and several coworkers drove from Mountain View to Capitola for lunch and sat on the beach. We booked ourselves a two hour "Team Building" Meeting on the work calendar and watched beach goers. Man it was worth the drive. I hope my boss don't see this.  :smt009

Nice Report Jim!
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Good Times! Those are the best days. I remember going fishing, just me and dad, getting a sip of dad's beer, and not telling mom. Wouldn't trade those days for any others.
