Hi,

Does anyone use the Yakima Big Stack kayak carrier?  The web site states it will hold 4 white water kayaks, but will it hold 4 sot kayaks?  I need to transport 4 sot kayaks on my truck's roof.

Thanks,

I'd be a little leery of the kind of torque 4 SOT kayaks are going to put on that system compared to 4 white water boats. I think the fact that they specify "whitewater kayaks" tells you something. Most of their other racks just say "kayak." What kind of truck do you have? If it is a full size you could probably get long enough bars to use 4 hullraisers across the top. It's a lot more expensive that way, but cheaper than replacing a kayak!  :smt004

I have a Honda Ridgeline.  I think it has 58 inch Yakima load bars.
