The hunt for big, big sturgeon was the task for today. I had some solid reports of sturgeon over 80 inches long caught here last week. When we stopped to buy bait at an on the water bait shop we met someone who hooked and landed a 60" and a 64" the day before. Stoked at the prospect we launched and paddled /drifted 1.5 miles to the  slough joining the main body. I marked all sorts of fish from stripers to big sturgeon but no one was willing to take the bait. We saw a real nice bass caught and talked to a PBer who hooked but didnt land a sturgeon in the 70 inch class. I will be back. The fish are there and they are big. Craig

Way to give it another try Craig. I'll need to spend more time on the water
for some sturgeon fishing. I want this thing out of the way before the halibut
season starts. :smt002
