Thanks for your Patience folks My major bendo was as Zinful 1 surmised. A non keeper logcod that thankfully unbuttoned. The action photo in Sonny's post, must have somehow slipped in from a prior trip. I suggested a stop at Safeway for catfish via Fishfarmer on the way home. Knowing full well that is the only way Sonny's family could dine on such fare. I've got no good reputation to defend so I feel no shame. Couple shots of Napa River's fast action provided.

I've only tried out of Cuttings Warf. Looks like a little more character up stream. I need to try up there too. The currents can get pretty strong on a big out go. It can be a workout. A good strategy is to follow the tides instead of bucking them. A new playground....
