I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I can make this trip.  I managed to P-O the wife pretty bad with my last trip.  Guess I have several weeks to get things back in order. :smt003

Bring the wife!  It will be a great time as long as the weather is good.  She can paddle my boat if she wants.  I started out as just a paddler and only got into fishing this year.  Del Valle is one of my favorite paddles in the area.

That's a bummer Don.  :smt009
I'm going to try and get out at least 3 or 4 other times before the 27th. I'll let you know and I'll post in the hookups. This Sunday I'll be at Del Valle with GB2 and stormscrambler if you can make it.

Nah, see Theresa, she's definitely not as cool as you.  I've got an extra boat, that isn't the problem.  The issue are the 2 children that are under 3 years of age, 1 that will be 3 months by the time of the event.  I'll suggest we make it a family day without the kayaks.  She may go for that.  If not, it'll be me and the oldest.

Hhhmmm...the day before my birthday....I might actually be able to pull this off. Praying for good weather. I'll have to say it's a definite maybe. If I make it I'll bring some of my yummy chicken for the grill. I'll post back up after I clear it with my better half.

Jay is smiling now I can guarantee you. It has nothing to with his party though. :smt003

Gonna work on the wife. If I say I am not even gonna bring the yak she may go for it. I am sure the little girl would love to play in the water.

Yes, this last weekend of fishing definitely made the purchase of a fishing liscense worthwhile, even though I'm only in California for a few more weeks.  :smt007

Theresa and I are looking forward to this event and hope to everyone there!  :smt006

I've done that exact thing Eric.  Knowing that the wife would put the kibosh on me kayak fishing the get-together, I turned it into a family event.  I'll be bringing the wife and 2 little girls and we'll be having a picnic.  Might bring a rod to just toss in but fishing will be purely secondary.
