Checked the buoy late this morning around 9am and noticed that the wind had stopped, so we decided to make an impromptu run to Doran. The wife and I hit the water about 11:30am to nice conditions (if you consider rain nice) and worked two promar traps for two hours and took two home. Lots of small dungies and one rock crab, but the two legal guys were delicious. We were only in 30-35 fow, so I am going to get an earlier start and go deeper next time. I am usually an early bird, but I must admit that there is something beautiful about sleeping in, sipping on some coffee, and playing a game of backgammon before heading out in the morning. BTW I tried steaming the little guys this time instead of boiling and I think it made a huge difference.

Hey your promar look's clean. Last time I was there, the traps got so heavy due to
the seaweeds that almost covered the beach. Glad to see you scored a nice meal.

Congrat on the good eating catches!  :smt003  Steamming them will retain some of their sweetness and should taste better (so does vegetable).  Thanks for the report and pictures Chad.
