March 13th AOTY Awards and Shark Derby

I am a little short on details right now but March 13th we will be having a catch and release shark derby and the AOTY awards ceremony at San Leandro Marina.

I will have more details in a bit, like exact times etc, but I wanted everyone to get in on the schedule!

Location:  San Leandro Marina
Date/Time:  Saturday, March 13, 2010 -- 1:00PM

Shark Derby:  7:00AM - 11:30AM

- Hobie Captain's Bags w/ sponsor goodies will be passed out to all registered 2010 AOTY participants

Hobie just agreed to be the title sponsor or AOTY tournament for the 3rd year in a row.  The Grand Prize will be a new Hobie Mirage Kayak valued over $1,800.  Hobie is also sponsoring the captain's bags for contestants!

There're plenty of food on the past AOTY's awards.  Weren't he there???

Damn.  I can't make that.  I will be up north at a fisheries meeting.  Giving a talk that day.  Poop.  Bill, all my sharky biologist will be at this meeting too, so probably a no go on the science component.  Sorry man

I very much like the idea that Kayak Fishing be a part of the AOTY awards.

Hope to make this however I probably won't be able to bring the yak.  Instead I'll probably have to bring the little one.
