That's all your tackle??????? I couldn't fit all my tackle in one room let alone one box. What kind of a Tackle Ho are you. :smt002

Believe me, I've had PLENTY of tackle. I just now have come to that point where I know what I need and that I no longer need to experiment with all these new "fish catching" lures that are coming out of the market every year. All I do at this point, is replenish the lures that have worked for me in the past.

You know what they say, "Lures" catches more fishermen than fish :smt003

Didn't I see a Banjo Lure in that box of yours........ :smt005
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

yes, why are the banjo lures not evident in the picture?  Piscean, your box is awesome, nice to have an artist in the colony!

Very true on the "lures are designed to catch fisherman" statement.  I took the family on a roadtrip to LA last weekend, so I had to stop at the Bass Pro in Manteca to let the kids run around.  That was my first time there, I never knew so many variations of brown worms were available, or so many kastmasters/rapalas/everything else imaginable.  Lots of eye candy!

I'm with the other Jeff for the most part.  Lots of various size Plano boxes.  Each with lures to target a species, tuna, rockfish iron, rockfish swimbaits, sturgeon etc.  Then depending on which/whose boat or bankfishing I them mix and match into an empty one for the day's use.

If going in the bay for halibut or sturgeon I like to have a couple of hair raisers or a rattle trap along in case I see birds diving on bass busting.  You never know.

The only exception is most of my go to trout gear lives in a fishing vest.  All of my steelhead gear is in a small plastic tool box that has small removable plano like boxes in the lid.

The final confession of this tackle ho is that it all takes up the better part of one wall of my garage.

I just got out my steelhead fishing bag, figured I'd take pictures of it before it got all covered in fish slime and bait scuz up on the Smith River this weekend.

I had a pack just like this one for about 6 years, I gave it to the kids down the street and got a new one.
Hopefully, I didn't give away all the luck that was inside too.

Here ya go Mooch:

right side pockets  (Pro-Cure Salmon and scent remover, split ring pliers and spare)

front fold down pocket- tools, surgical tubing, yarn, worm threader, barb pincher, steelhead tag

left side, Pip's leader boxes with 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 lb Florocarbon and Maxima leaders ( I was a bait loopin' fool for a few nights), Lunker Lotion Salmon, and Smelly Jelly Salmon Feast

puff balls and TP

leader material and spare hooks, jig hooks

inside main top pocket

floats, slinkies and worm bags

closeup of my steelhead secret  (sshhhhh)

my floats

bottom compartment- weights, swivels and bobber stops,  spoons, Pixies, Cast Masters, Spin-Glos, Corkies, beads, and my Wee Wart box.

I throw a plastic tub of cured salmon roe attached to the right shoulder strap, and I'm gone.

It all fits nice and neat in the stern well.

For trout I have a small over/under plano box, and for rockfish/lings I found a small tupperware type container work best, just everything all together, only what I need for the trip, (usually 4-5 jigheads, 4-5 swimbaits, and a butterknife jig).

Everything else is in clear planos like everyone else uses.

I wish they made one for LARGE plugs.  I put those in the clear tubes you can buy at OHS.

I like your "or-gan-ized" version better. My brother says I'm "too anal."  :smt002

I used to have a bunch more of those bobbers. A tackle store was closing them out and I bought all of 'em. Dakota thought they were dog toys and chewed up about $50 bucks worth. Now you know why I take those 2 polka dot dogs everywhere.  :smt003

I keep all my lures for freshwater fishing in a double sided 6x9 clear plano box. I have a few plastics, my favorite bass lures (~8) and approximately 15 spinners.  If I don't have it, I don't need it. :-)

The box fits perfectly into the groove on front of my OK Prowler 15 (between my legs) with the stretchy tie down.

Last October I did step out of my box and buy a black spro frog for fishing weeds at night. Unfortunately, it does not fit into that box.
