made the long paddle from mcavoys harbor to honker bay ad it actually wasnt too bad , took a little side slough through the marsh and once i got to the big water i stayed close to shore untill i was ready to go str8 across to the area i was gonna fish.
after baiting my hooks with grass shrimp the wait was on , water is still cold so i wasnt expecting any explosive action but i knew a hookup was a real possibuilty expecially fishing with 2 rods , after an hour into the tide i brought up a starry flounder , got my juices going for a sec but backin the water he went , then a little while later got a nice take down , swing for the fences but it ended up being an almost legal striper , back in he went ...then things died down and i got a few small pumps but nothing , talked with the guys on the radio but they said action was slow , paddled back in with the tide in my favor and got back to the launch at 430pm , loaded up real quick and took my lilttle 2 minute drive home still wearing all my yak gear! lol

i also was messing around with my new camera , picked up the stylus tough 600 and it seems to do its job pretty well.
hopefully the water temp starts going up and the fishing gets better , im really on a mission to get my yak sturg before the rockfish opens.

bare with me , im trying to get the pics smaller

You make the call and see where our best chance of hooking one. Let's do an early fishing and cut out early enough to spend time with the family.
