i actually don't like diving at low tide. the visibility tends to suck more.

Is the camping usually a big group site or will we all need to pre book separate sites?  My wife and I have been looking at places to camp this summer and esp up in mendo a lot of campgrounds seem to be completely booked for the summer already. (or at least going fast)

Mendo sees twice the tourist as up here in Humboldt. The access is easier from big cities, but drive the extra 2 hours and you'll have oodles of first come first serve sites available at beaches, redwood forest, river valleys, and pretty much everywhere. You can always hit one of us locals up to set you up in advance or point you in the right direction.

I look forward to seeing many of you again at this years GS4.

I like diving on the smaller tidal swing days.  Minus tide is good for rock picking people.

For example on the 16th:

16     High   2:46 PM     4.3
16      Low   7:08 PM     2.8

We can yak fish in the morning then Ab dive in the afternoon!

That's funny Jack. I spoke to Julie just now and she told me that I have the last room at the Tides Inn. I hope I have the right Inn. :smt003
