Way to give it a go guys. With 11 of you out there, I would've put money on it that somebody would catch a keeper. Maybe next time...

Well, the highlite of the day was when Vjo.HobieDave caught the eight foot rod
matched with an Accurate reel. I'm sure that made yester's day when he got back
his expensive setup. Anyhow, I counted 14 kayakers today. I only wished that
someone had caught a keeper sturgeon but I guess it was not meant to be for
any of us. Thanks to all who came. I hope you all had a great time even without
Mr. Dino presence. Congrats on the only action of the day Mad Dog.
Thanks again Sonny for picking up some bait for us. That was super cool of you to do that. Thank you Adam for the sticker. Oh I almost failed to mention about
my sleigh ride. Right after Gabe left with Andy(nontoxic), I caught a nice size
batray that took me for a decent ride. I honestly thought it was a barely leagal
sturgeon till I saw it's wing. Let the count down begin. 0 for 1
One last thing, nice meeting you today Andy,John,Yester, Mad Dog, and Ben. I hope to fish with you all again soon.

It's a great day to be OTW.  A little choppy early in the morning but glassy most of the day.  It's my pleasure to meet/fish with new NCKAers.  Some pictures of today hookup:

damn hobie dave ...what are you doing sitting on your ice chest...??
what condition was that rod/ reel in? still usable? good score.

I texted you as I departed OAK on SWA. we took off at 810 am and saw 3 yakers in diamond formation heading out to the open bay...it was a cool view from the sky. only wish I could have made it as the water looked nice..

good turnout... I am sure everyone felt pent up with all the recent storms.

I still need to rig my hobie with an anchor setup.

Dav

Dave was voted AOTD for "recoverred" yester's rod & reel (>$500 setup).  What'd happened was yester flipped his yak and lost his rod.  I loaned him my spare rod so he can use for the day.  An hour later, we're ready to move to another spot to fish since no one caught anything here.  Dave decided to "troll" using his "special" rig trying to snag the rod, I could't believe he "caught" the rod in less than half-an-hour!  The rod & reel was returned to the rightful owner and you should see yester's face when he reclaim the rod  :smt001

Snagging that keeper in the eye made my day. It felt really good handing it back to Yester. Davy Jones Locker gave up her bounty this time. Enjoyed being OTW with the NCKA crew. Thanks Jed & Sonny for hosting the hook up. We'll get keepers that actually swim next time around.

Left stickers on vehs. w/o them.
It was glassy-oil all the way across to SanFran! My lilpinky toe is blistered now. There were alot still OTW at 230.
Just saw it this morning.  Thx, sticker Santa !!!  I don't think I've even been so happy to see a sticker/flyer on my windshield.

You're my hero man!  Thank You Hobie Dave for taking the time trolling for my rod reel and line.
Sonny, thank you for the bait and the bait after getting dumped out.  Also for lending me your rod.  You are a great person.

Kudos for you two.

Thanks to John for the bait too and Adam for the Sticker.
