I think the bike trails are pretty wide.  They may be full of ruts though, might make for a bumpy ride.

Yup....the bike trail would have to be wide and smooth (which is very unlikely) to make it worth our while to haul our kayaks, and when you finally get there, you've got to find a place to lock your wheels and launch.  It sounds like too much work to me.  Ultimately, I think we just need to suck it up and prepare for long paddle from the Alviso marina.
