Very Nice, Bill.

Here's a tip for allowing drainage through a scupper hole with a transducer installed.  Bumpers and washer (modified) from Home Depot.

Where did you get the washer? Plumbing dept?  What was it originally used for before you modified it.? I wanna do it too!

What did you use to make the holes bigger for the flush mounts since they our kinda odd shaped

Thanks in advanced.

Nice new yak Bill!  I'm going to show my wife the pics...this year is my 50th b-day and I've already begun hinting that ALL I want is another kayak "so we can go fishing together, honey!"  I have 3 months to wear her down...  :smt003

I used the nut on this fixture, though had to shave the ribs to conform to the scupper hole radius.  The setup works very well.

Aleen knocked them out with a dremel with a little sanding drum attachment, it was easy and went smoothly. I would try to avoid the metal bits, you can shred a lot of material if you are not careful.

Sirius- I like the mod and wanna do the same with my kayak. I see the transducer has a threaded portion above it, is that part of the mod or how the transducer comes and where'd you get the hexagon shaped plastic nut above the washer?

Not to jump in for Sirius here, but the transducer comes with the threaded rod and nut.  My new T-11 had 3 factory bumps on the bottom of the scupper to allow for drainage by keeping the transducer away from the bottom which eliminated the need for the bumpers.  I found the diameter of the supplied nut was not big enough to keep the transducer securely fastened - it had a tendency to wiggle and rock because the scupper hole was too close to the size of the nut, so I made a small washer from a leftover cutting board to span over the scupper hole and keep the transducer flat and secure.  Drains fine and works flawlessly.

Bill- what Humminbird fish finder did you have installed? I want to put one in that's small enough to fit under the sonar shield, but large enough to see clearly from my seat.

Exhibita- thanks. Also where'd you get the piece your transducer wire goes through?
