This rain is Awesome....but...let's just hope it doesn't turn into 95/96. I took one of the old dive boards down from the rafters and paddled around the business park turning off the the electrical mains for some of the other business owners. The unfunny thing is that we are not even in the 100 year flood plain........

38Days more!

here is the mouth to the bay......any higher and it may breach.
pic2= ChinaCamp is across Bay and to the left.

even the squirrel was taking full advantage of the break in rain, he had a nut in it's mouth.

it may just happen!......we hope!

i can get to my job via bay if needed....i'm about a 20 min. paddle away(but a long hike up a hill to the office) in a pinch(or flood) or summer, i could do it.

the last real_Rain of extended periods we had (back in 2005/6) the creek did flood its banks. the homes along it got muddy and wet. the pics were from 2 days later.......i was and am READY TO GO!

its high enough now, but the bridges and RR crossings would be decapitators.......there ia a ramp for cartops after the last bridge, that would put you into prime sturg' grounds(striper too). I've watched them jump and roll for weeks there, but you know the ol' "hate to fish the front yard" deal. The ramp is pure mud at a low tide and so are the flats it feeds into.

Here is a shot from my office I was just called and told the hill below gave way and they are going to close it till they can repair the slide.
What's funny is this chick that is supposed to come up and work with me has been scared that it was going to slide and hasn't been coming up and we were teasing her about it :iamwithstupid: That's the Russian in the backround
