I'm not a lure expert but those look good to me. The test will come when ling season opens.

Well my next batch of red belly's came out very nice.  I made the red a little more translucent, and got the plastic a little hotter.  I was also more careful with drips, filling the pyrex cups only 1/4 full and putting the spout right into the mold.  It made them look a lot better and I am learning a few little tricks which help.  A little flame on the surface and they shined up perfect.  Tedious, but the quality is really improving with practice.

I also poured some more squid, curly tails and scampies.  I was pretty pleased with myself until I dripped some plastic on my hand and got some nice blisters for my effort.  :smt010  I knew better than to pour without my gloves on, but I pour better without them and get lazy with the safety gear sometimes.

Those lures really look sweet! Nice work - catching a nice fish with a handmade lure is the real-deal!

Matt  Those are really looking good.  I've got a buddy that does all our lead heads and he has been using a light wire hook that works really well. They will straighten out and let go of the rock and can be rebent back to shape. They also seem to get a better hook set with the fine wire. Might be worth a try.
