Left the house at around 9 to 38 degree air temp. Got to the lake less than ten minutes later. Launched to pristine conditions. I knew there want going to be any fish, since this lake is on the DFG no stock list beecause of an endangered frog, but supposedly they will be restocking this spring. Water temp was a little under 42 degrees. I dragged a few lures around. I marked a few fish a foot off the bottom on  ledge but I tried all sorts of small drop-shotted worms. I love the new Humminbird 565, waaaay more detailed than the Eagle Cuda. No fish but it was good to get out the yak for 2010. Beats doing workouts on the TV with the gf  :smt003 More reports soon to come. Expect them!

Likewise, I'd rather be kayaking than go to the gym for exercise.  Thanks for the report Jeff and looking forward to see the video when you're done with the upload.

The 565 is a good unit. It's even better as you get used to interpreting what it shows you. Bullet proof too. I've got one that has been with me for a couple of years now, and still running strong.

Nice video!  What kinda camera is that?  Oh, and how comfortable were you in the waders?  Mine kind of baloon up when I sit down, but I haven't tried em in the yak yet.
