Very cool, Cameron!
How was it to land in those conditions?
Interesting how you cut it up, I steak mine, and now wonder if there's a better way?
Next to halibut and salmon, sturgeon is hard to beat on a dinner plate!
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Congrats Cam... way to stick it to the fishy. Those conditions were brutal out there. Good thing you got yours early on.

Big Thanks to Craig for the round of ghosties too. It didn't happen this time but it will...

Nice catch. You looked very businesslike hooking the fish, broadcasting a quick "fish on" and then fighting the fish until you released your anchor and got towed away for into the distance. Definitely a cold and choppy day. I got one small leopard shark and that was it. See you all again next time.

I think I like the dinner pic. best of all we see fish everyday not plates like that. How about a start to finish how too . That looks like my flavor. I did something along those lines for a sheephead David gave me last week.

duck fat poached sturgeon on a bed of parsnip puree with applewood smoked bacon and carmelized shallots sauteed brussel sprouts rhen finished with white truffle oil,

I thought I didn't care much for sturgeon, but now I see I've been doing it all wrong.  My God, man!  That plate is a work of art.
