Love the tunes to the video!  Also the under/over leg rod holder was great!  The river looked good, I can't believe you didn't get bit.  I headed down to the Sac River today.  Saw a few Salmon rolling and steelhead jumping.  I may have to head out for some steelhead and trout!  I already see I am going to have to rig up a camera mount for the kayak next.

I use an external USB hard drive as well.  It is piece of mind for all my pictures and videos.  I back up all my stuff on it in case my computer crashes.

One of my best steelheads trips was on the south fork of eel.  Beautiful scenery and few if any other boats.

Another Great video and pictures Eric. Looks like at one point in the video you made that turn in the current and  got you a little puckered.

Hi-YAA!   :smt002

My daughter had an indoor soccer game in Scotia at 2 today and I had two games myself at 5:30 and 7:30, so I jammed back down to the South Fork after her game.  I was sitting on the yak drifting in the current when I felt like my butt was bouncing a bit in the seat of my yak.  I thought, "that's odd - is it a current?..."  Then the trees - I was surrounded by old growth redwoods - they started shaking and I could hear branches falling.  It sounded like a strong wind going through the forest, but there wasn't a breath of wind!  It was pretty cool.  I got back to Scotia for my soccer games and learned that it was a 6.5 and several aftershocks were occuring/are occuring.  A few things fell off shelves at my house, but nothing broke.  A few blocks away at my step-mother's place she had several things break.  Two big plate glass windows broke at my office and other businesses in Eureka and Ferndale, some street lights fell, power is out to many...  All in all it wasn't too bad.  We'll hope to not get shaken out of bed tonight...

Windows Movie Maker - it comes with Windows and is easy to use.  It does freeze up and glitch out on me though, but that's life...

Eric -

Great video and report. Surprised you don't use a foreward rod holder?  :smt102 Will have to get you down to Big Sur this year for a commando mission.
