Rules don't specify public waters so it's ok. It pretty funny that everyone wants clear rules then they try and interpret them.

I'm not trying to interpret the rule!  I said I "believe" and could be wrong!  IMHO it's not very sporting to fish from a privately "stocked" pond and I won't practice that but if it's within the rule then go for it.

Sonny Eric is not the kind of guy to go to some Trophy Factory just to rack up points. He probably knows some farmer that has some bass ponds and he just wants to go have a good time to me that's just as sporting as fishing lakes like the EBMUD that are privately owned and stocked with tail less trout and then use trout food for bait. Your telling me that if Eric had some cool little private lake to fish at and he invited you, You wouldn't go or just not post em up?

Mike,  by asking the question, we already know Eric is an honest guy since "dishonest" guy will probably do it and won't even post a report.  If Eric had some cool little private lake to fish at and he invited me over, I'll happy to join him fishing but won't post the fish for the AOTY due to my believe!

No big deal,
I do have a friend who let's me fish a semi private lake where we have been checked by F&G and wanted to clear it before I head up there this summer.

As for tomorrow, I will be heading to Bass Lake near Oakhurst if anyone cares to join me. I will launch around 8:00am and be on the Yellow Trident 15 near the Dam.

Your a good dude Sonny and I'm just saying that we all need to relax and just do what feels good to us.
To many rules make it less fun, and we can't let opinions rule how or where we fish as long as it's legal. We all have our little quirks and that what makes it fun.  I might be OK posting a fish from Eric's Private lunker factory but I would never post up a downstream Steelie but others might and that's OK.

I think it is a fish that has done it's thing and is heading back out to the ocean but I'm not certain.

Yep that would be a downstream steelie. Also a post spawn stinker salmon would be on my list.

Eric I wish I could join you. I read the report in the bee that said you knocked em dead last week. Good luck and have fun!

As long as no one is launching their kayak into a raceway at mt lassen or calaveras trout farm I think we are good :)

My two cents.....

Keep you stuff in the seat till the fish is dead and on the stringer....you want to beach it, fine. Just keep it in the saddle.

No one fishes for landlocked Rainbow trout at lake Sonoma...Only landlocked Steelhead.

One more ?
Sorry, I know I may be a little early with the weekend and all
How long does it take to be added to the AOTY list?
Is it a thing where bill has to update when he has time or does it go through a process?
Paid with paypal and registered on Fri. and added fish today but my name is not shown on the list.
Not worried, just want to make sure I didn't do something wrong.
Thanks,
Eric

nothing is wrong i'm sure.  bill is a pretty busy man and will add your name to the list soon i'm sure.  as soon as he verifies that you paid then he will backdate your entry date and all fish entered after that date will count for the standings.

Thanks Ben,
When the weather is right I have a spot that regularly produces Crappie larger than dinner plates.
We can hook up and get some AOTY points just for giggles.
Oh Yah!!! last time i was there I also got a 11lb Bass.
See ya soon,
Eric

Yeah guys I try to run through and add everyone in batches. It can take a lot of time since I have to match all the pieces

1. Real name from Paypal to handle on AOTY.

2. Sometime AOTY handle does not match NCKA handle

3. Sometimes people pay without creating an AOTY handle but it takes time to figure that out.

I should get the next batch done shorty. I put the date you paid in so as long as you piad before you entered fish you are fine.
