we went through SLO, but final destination was san diego. hit up the coast right there and rode it down to santa barbara for some picture taking opportunities.

I'm glad you didn't let our brutal winter weather keep you shore bound. Too bad you didn't hit your target. You know the deal, lather, rinse, REPEAT. Come back when the water temps are higher; our local bones are freezing their fins off. Oh yeah, the bay is loaded with mega smelt just now, going crazy on 'eyeball' bait. Same deal last winter this time, explaining the bird action.
