Good luck and best wishes to you Jay. We'll miss you while you're gone. Keep us

I will be thinking of you on Sunday while I am freezing my ass off knowing that you will be much colder than I when you get to Idaho. Check it out for us and a road trip this summer will be in the plans if you stay up there. Had lots of fun with you and Theresa last year. Thanks. I think my fav was the disaster at Muir.

Muir was one of my favorites last year too, despite the carnage.  :smt003

If I do stay up there, a road trip is definitely in order for you guys. There are tons of lakes and rivers in the area, and new species for me to hunt: Pike, Muskie, Walleye, and a thing called a burbot, which I've been told is like a freshwater ling cod but smaller.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett

Jay,

My father-in-law was telling me about catching one years back. It fought like hell and weighed 10+ lbs. And they are related to the "common ling" which is found in the Atlantic Ocean.

Good luck and best wishes. I love Idaho especially that area. The kayak fishing is also very good and you are not far from Spokane as well as the blue ribbon trout fishing areas in Montana. I am sure the dogs will also have a great time. Let me know if you want to hook up for some rockfish carnage before you go.  :smt003
