Cool idea :smt004
Good luck on the tele-mount system start up!
It would work great for camera applications as well :smt003
You might also want to shop it to the kayak companies as well :smt002
Nice job!

Thanks BANJOTAD. Yeah camera/camcorder mount also for sure!  I have yet to contact Johnson Outdoors.  They would be the primary beneficiary to this system. Although, It can be used just as well on the Tarpon series  kayaks (Wilderness systems) :smt003.
Maybe Ill send a few to our resident team-OK Baddasses to see how they like em' and write a review?

I've been getting pm's about the installed "E-T Mount" so I'll answer them for everyone :smt001

No, the end of the telescopic section does not touch the hull.
Yes you can store multiple rods in the rod pod without harming the system or rods.
Yes rods can be placed inside and taken out of the rod pod without any trouble.
Yes the telescopic section DOES extend past the opening of the cross lock hatch

(Most people only use this to insert their battery or soft stuff like jackets PFD's etc so I don't think this will be a huge problem)

Yes this system can take a quite bit of abuse in the extended mode . (video soon)
(might have trouble rolling in the sand in the fully extended position and I would not use it to support yourself in a standing position but short of that its very sturdy.

No the mounted head unit is not likely to rotate left or right accidentally and is certainly not going to be "deep sixed" without a significant amount of force applied to it.

I hope this helps..
