I know people's mind right now are into sturgeon fishing at the moment but,I thought I'd post a hookup anyways. I'll be chasing for the landlocked salmon so
if anyone is interested to join me and show me the ropes, I'd appreciate it
greatly. Tenth fish here I come. :smt005 :smt005 :smt044 :smt044

If we're not going to Monterey that day I might join you to take the pictures of the tenth fish!  :smt002

Very funny Allen. You're such a jokester. I don't know how to fish for the the
landlocked salmon period and I don't know anything about downriggers. I was
thinking of running a heavy flasher and some hoochies. At least I will have two
lines to play with and experiment as I go. If Capell Cove is not full, I will launch
there at 7:30am. Otherwise I'll launch at Oak Shore. See you folks there. I'll
bring some drinks and sandwiches.

If I can swing monday off I'll be there!

I have only fished land locked salmon at oroville lake on a friends boat. We trolled with down riggers at 15-30' using small watermelon crocodiles and dead minnows. Also drifted live minnows at the same depth. Knocked them out big time. Come to think about it... we also caught them on a gulp minnow under a bobber when we were targeting bass.

Hey fishdit, I was originally going to fish Lake Oroville but when I saw how far it
was, I thought I would just take my chance in Lake Berryessa instead.

Jed,
Good luck on the LL salmon.

I get Kokanee up here using a kokenut behind a sling blade dodger.(Shasta Tackle Co.)
You can also tip the hook with a corn kernel.

If you need to get deeper w/o a downrigger I use a "Fish Seeker" diving device 3-4 ft.in front of the above rig. 7 bucks and less drag than a DR :smt004 It's adjustable from 5ft. to 80ft. I really like it.

I also use the Seeker/Sling Blade set up to pull kastmasters, cripplures, and spinners for trout.

Wish I lived closer, I'd be there.

Go get em buddy!

Thanks for the tips Tad. I will be heading to the tackle store in Benicia to look for
the rigs. Hey Andy, thanks for the video. It did the job of getting me all excited
come Monday.

Hi guys,

I called Jed this morning and found out his elder sister died last night and he asked me to post the cancellation for this hookup!
