I thought i might share this with those that are planning on putting finders, rod holders, etc, but don't know exactly where they want them to go.
I spent the better part of a year with a temporary rig - that was "holeless" i moved the position of things dozens of times.
Here's how I did it:
I used pieces of PVC pipe and zip tied them to the different attachment points around the deck. I mounted a scotty rod holder, and my finder mount to the PVC (used more zip ties for the finder).  My first mount was across my feet, then diagonally across from between my feet to my knees (first on the left, then on the right). Finally, after all this I chose my finder mounting place, and my rod holder mount.
1" piece of PVC.  Drill holes in either end. figure out where you want your first try, and zip tie through the holes.

Hopefully that made sense- and you can replicate.  I'll see if I can find some pictures of the old set-up

Made a version of the ghetto bar, mounted it above pad eyes used cut eye bolts through pad eyes with shaft
through 2x4 with washer and nut on top. Will replace nuts with wing nuts. Came out very rigid. Used
cutting board to get rod holders higher.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
