After getting skunked at big break two days ago, I was taking myself very seriously this morning at 2:00 a.m. when I headed out to whiskey slough marina. I had three rods ready to go and a fairly in depth plan of action.  The black tube which caught a 5 pounder last week in the same spot, at the same time of day, did nothing for me.  My confidence bait, the black and blue senko, got no hits even though I threw it until the sun came up and even threw it repeatedly into some schooling fish feeding on the surface.  I decided they must be little stripes, but they wouldn't hit any crankbait or spinner bait I tried, so I got in the yak and took off.  I tried a dropshot texas rigged 4 1/2 " roboworm, all brand new from the store, and got  hit on the first cast to the last piling of the dock. My first dropshot fish. Happiness is. I ended up bringing five to the boat, the biggest around 13" and I even remembered to take a picture of one before he went back to do some growing up.

Good job.  I know it's a little tough catching bass when it's cold.  Andy
