Nice fish! Glad the spot is still giving my friends some nice fish! Hope to learn some fly fishing techniques from you next year.

Jeff

Way to go on catching your fish on flies. I gonna have to give it a shot soon.
On circle hooks. . .They ROCK! The hook naturally works its way into the corner of the fishes mouth and greatly reduces gut and fowl hooking. A few manufacturers are now making them in sizes suitable for trout fishing. Can't wait to try those out. I've been wanting to try them on drift fishing for Steelhead. Guess this is the year.

hey, Jeff -  they tore down the old launch dock, so i almost couldnt find the place anymore.   All that remains is a 6 foot slab of narrow plywood that extends from the rocks into the water.     The launch and landing were doable, but not nearly as easy as before.

Stripers should be coming in greater numbers soon and be around a while.   Lets get out and hit it some time.   I have an extra fly rod for you if you are not set up for stripers.  PatR is also interested so we can all hook up sometime.

I hear so much about circle hooks, i am really intrigued.  I'll have to tie some up and give it a try.

I forgot to add that last time I was out there? I think some hooligans did that. We saw it floating around unattached. I carried a 14 foot aluminum boat last time down there. Not fun or easy!

Nice work Lawrence, you surpased my PB LMB after many years of bass fishing, and on a fly no less!  I bow to your awesomeness!!  :smt003

I'd like to give that a shot some time too, sounds like blast.

Take care,

Norm

Unfortunately, it doesnt surprise me about the hooligans.   Really too bad, because it was such a great little launch spot for kayaks.    Its a real pity there are so many idiots out there with nothing better to do with their lives than destroy things and cause trouble.    Getting the kayak up and down was no fun, but i can really imagine how hard (or crazy) it would be to move an aluminum boat up and down that riprap.

hey, Norm -  where did our summer go?!?!?!    I was looking forward to coming up to fish with you and Drew again.    That was fun, and Oliver asks me about that from time to time.
We should fish together again.    Let me know if you want to fish the delta and we can make a go of it.   I am no expert by any stretch, but Know some decent launch places and do get lucky every now and then.
