I am going to go on Saturday.  I plan to be on the north side (note, not the lighthouse side) of Pigeon Point road at 7 a.m.  PM me if you want/need my number.  I am leaving from SF, and can potentially carpool down.

Sorry I can't do Friday.

Swell will be flat, and I can help you with the beach launch/land if you need it.  It is about a 1/2 mile paddle to the fish from the launch.  I plan on getting off the water by about 1 p.m.

All are welcome - let's go out with some fish...

I would troll a 4' seal shaped lure in 30-50 FOW with 150/0 owner trebble rigged on a 5000# steel leader.  :shark :smt005

if i wanted a nice first day, i'd send a pm to bigjim or stoggie about going down to capitola.  that area will be fairly protected from the swell tomorrow and sat.

Bean Hollow is not newbie friendly except on a few days. More often than not it is fairly technical with regard to the surf. All that said, if you don't mind swimming and maybe losing some tackle, go for it. I wouldn't worry about the sharks unless you have a red kayak or hobie of any color.

Stick close to the others. If you decide to fish, you can use irons or swim baits or you can combine either of them with shrimp fly above. Good Luck, have fun, and above all be safe.  :smt001
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Yep. BH launch.
Saturday looks the best for WX, though. I might do both days...
