craig, i noticed in the last report that john was using wheeleez to get back up.  do you think those would be useful?

i just got a new set of wheeleez (haha i am no longer the wheeleez moocher!) and was wondering if i should bring em.

Ben, the upper half of the hill is relatively flat. Anything would work, however, I managed to destroy my ghetto cart within a 100' from the parking lot. The lower half of the hill consists of narrow path and steps/stumps. You pretty much need someone to help you carry the yak down. Once you reach the beach, Wheeleez would help you haul the yak to the water edge. You should definitely bring it. I got mine right after the previous Stump launch ;)

I'm bummed that I can't make Saturday due to family obligations. Is anyone going to fishing there Friday as well? Does the Friday forecast look fishable?

Guys, I am going to have to sit this one out. I cannot get the day off from work, so catch a couple for me---I'll be thinking about all the fun your having while I'm slaving away:)

Todays surf at Salt Point was 8-10 ft with 4ft viz. Coupled with a bug wind this is not the place to be today. They are forcasting for swell to increase by the weekend. If its looking like a no go I will post on Friday am or late Thurs. If its fishable please consider your practical time spent on the ocean and please gauge your experience to the conditions. Craig

Based upon the forecasted conditions and the long drive this is looking unlikely for me. But, who knows, maybe we'll catch a break.

The forecast has gone up and down like a yo-yo.
And...depending on which one you like...you can even pick your forecast,. :smt101

There is a small window on Saturday am for fishing but by the afternoon its supposed to be way up. So coupled with the time it takes to get down to the beach and back up I think people would be better off going to the fort. Sorry about that. Best to not fool with Mother Nature.
