I've been going through past posts, and it looks like Bean Hollow and Bolinas is the closest launch sites from Oakland to fish RF, lings and Halibut.  Correct?  Any advice much appreciated.

If you are new to the game I would recomend Half Moon Bay. The launch is very easy and there is lots of boats around as well as harbor patrol nearby. Get yourself a radio and go with a buddy and you should have a blast.

It's also closer to Oakland than the other two spots.

Thx much for the post.  HMB it is!  I'd like to be able to get in some yak fishing, and be back at the office in the afternoon- my assistant can deal with the fish smell.  Thx again.
