Ha ha, I've been baiting them into the back garden and fattening them up with corn. Lisa really wants to make some Indiana Burgoo!

Everybody should have a 10-22. They last forever and are very accurate.

I agree, the 10-22 is a great investment and a fantastic shooter.I have the stainless version with a Hogue aftermarket stock and a decent Bushnell scope.It's spot on...I can skip a shotgun shell along the ground from 50+ yards.Squirrels don't stand a chance. 

Nice investment Ben, those are great plinker guns.
I've got a marlin golden 39A for the same reason, accurate as heck, but the ejector is problematic.
I still need to try out my grandfathers stevens single shot since it was rebuilt. After 50 yrs of use the bullets were hitting targets sideways

Ruger really nailed it with the 10-22, I've never heard a bad word about that piece. Congrats!

They have a used one at Western sport shop in San Rafael for $150, its got a stainless barrel and a scope. Almost got that one but went for a newbie.

Alright ben good deal, fun to shoot 22's. I have wanted to build one of those. I think you pushed me over the edge. I already have a Browning BLR 22 and a Weatherby MkII and some 22 pistols. Like I said fun to shoot and cheap unless you shoot CCI Stingers.

Hint... Hint... a Ruger 10-22 has been on my wish list since I was 13 years old.  I'm still waiting, and I've been a very good boy this year.

Welcome to the club.  Great fun for sure... a classic.  If that used one in San Rafael is still available, someone should jump on it.  That's a good deal if it's in decent shape...
