Are the Cudas good eating?

Yeah, how are you guys preparing them?  I always found them to be horrible, great fighting though!  I even tried to bleed immediately and put on ice and still thought they were that bad.

My cuda bit on that setup but it was not my idea.  I'm learning from my Fish Master Alex.

Hey! just want to say i had a great time again floating around MB with some of the crew, you know who you are  :smt003

Rey Rey and Danny, I just want to thank you guys big time for supporting us out there on your PB. Doug and I split a 3lbs box of squid and found out it was not  enough to last a few drift. We didn't count on the Barracuda to thrash on are bait. But it was a blast catching them. I hooked up on the first drop and actually had a double for a few minutes since i had three lines in the water. I ended taking two Barracudas home out of six.
I spent most of my time working the yellow can. I noticed the redwater was in stretches, banner like and each time i drifted over them or near them i would find the barracudas. 35ft of water seem like the dept I was hooking them the most.

As far as the  squid goes, It seems that the schools has thinned out and the wsb is moving right behind them. It's like a replay  from 9 years ago.  The last time i caught Monster WSB and Barracuda in Monterey Bay.

I hope I don't have to wait that long again for the Ghost to come back.

Alex  :alien:

Wonder if the patch of rough, colder weather dispersed the squid.

squid congregate on the full moon to spawn. the moon is waning thus the squid are dispersing...and what we are looking for..

Baracuda's can be toxic because of ciguatera?  Do we have ciguatera in Monterey Bay? See link.
