Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

Great report and pics especially the AI/spider craft getting towed. I too want a mirage drive boat and have been reading up on them. I was reading about guys in Australia and some of them use only one pontoon and have a net inbetween the pontoon and the yak for extra storage of gear/fish just like they do on some catamarans. Sounds intriguing to me and looks pretty cool too. You also could lay down in the net/hammock and take a power nap.  :smt005 jim

Thanks Jim.  I've been thinking about just using only one pontoon.  I think I will give that a try next time and see how stable it is.  That will take some of that weight and might be easier to paddle in thick kelp.  Those nets are a little bit pricey and I've heard that sometimes if you are in a big swell and it's windy it could act as a sail and flip you over.  I might just rig me up some nylon fish nets or cut out my old hammock that have bigger holes.  ...  Cross that out...just had a flashback...no no on nylons or anything that can get snagged.

Man, I just checked it out.  Thanks for the info.  That guy really pimped that AI out.  All that's missing is a color tv.  Gave me a lot of ideas.  I like that net giving him all that room and a place for landing your fish.  I wonder if he is able to launch from the surf.  Here is the link if anyone is interested.  I know ChuckE might be.

Yeah, there's some good stuff on there I just watched it. Now I know what to use to keep the saltwater off my battery pack, unused pelican 1030 instead of leaky tupperware. jim
