Nice WSB and nice leopards, too!

Too bad she was full of roe....but could that mean WSB are spawning in that bay??!!

How'd you guys catch your bait? I had sardines swarming my sabiki out there on Sunday, but they wouldn't bite. All I could scratch up were some rather large smelt and a mackerel.
WE dont really know what we did special dustin.  All I know is the one I let go was way longer than the one I kept.  My friend Reuel also let go of a bigger one.  I had 3 big hookups.  I didn't know what was on the second one since I forgot to change my rig after landing the first leopard the line snapped. Rookie mistake

Last Sunday I made the mistake of believing the wind reports. They claimed there would be minimal wind all day, so my buddy and I didn't get there until almost 10:30. We got ready, paddled to the channel, made some pretty big baits, fished for about 30 minutes then the wind picked up and we had to turn around and leave!

So lesson learned - get there early! I'm gonna check the wind reports before I commit, but if I do I should be at the launch around 7:00AM.
