So is anyone heading out into the delta this weekend trying for Salmon?

I am going to give it a try on at least one day this weekend.  I haven't decided where to go, but I am somewhat flexible on time and location if others are going.  I am hopping the cooler nights we have had will bring more fish into the system.

A few people on the fishsniffer salmon forum have been catching salmon on the moke.

Hope you catch a couple too.

Thanks Alfredo.

I'm thinking the Moke maybe around B&W is the place to go, maybe head up towards the Georgiana slough or some of the deep holes just up on the southern Moke.  I haven't fished from there before so it's new to me.

Where would you launch on the Mokelumne? I just moved this year from Thornton to Sacramento. Alot of those islands down there like Staten are privately owned so it's not always easy to pasrk along side the river.
And you could hear me screaming a mile away as I was headed out for the door....

I can't say that I have much experience yak fishing the delta, I have power boated it a lot on non-fishing friend's boats.  That said, I think B&W marina off of HW 12 where it crosses the Moke would be a good place to launch.  I'm sure there are fees and such at B&W but the sniffer board referenced it a lot.

I think BrianG is very familiar with area, if we get lucky he may chime in with some insider info.

I wanted to go on Saturday, but the honeydews won (argh) that argument.

I am trying to go on Sunday morning.

Watching the sniffer's, it looks like things are picking up but still not as good as you would expect for this late in the season.
