Craig,

THAT is ripping that you found his rod. It's those completely improbable strokes of good fortune that leave you shaking your head in disbelief. Was diving for abs in May at one of your special spots, when my snorkel slipped out from under my mask as I was grabbing something out of my kayak and sank to the bottom.  Didn't notice until I was about to dive. Diving without a snorkel sucks, but I continued due to inherently obsessive traits. An hour later, dove down to check a hole and there was my snorkel. Must have been a million to one odds on finding that thing. Great job,

Shannon

Thats what fishing buddies are all about, too cool (and unbelievably lucky to boot).  I'm sure your pooch enjoyed a nice walk on the beach as well.

Now heres the twist. I woke up last night around 3am and I was thinking and a vision came to me. No, really. I thought about that rod Dustin lost and in my mind I saw it clearly lying horizontal to the beach and rolling up with the tide and finding it at high water. I woke up at 6 and made coffee grabbed the dog and hightailed it down to Muir from my house in Petaluma. I was the second person on the beach. Then I walked right down to where we landed and up to the high tide mark and there it was. How cool is that?
