Bring your fancy new sabiki.  We can grab ling candy if needed (sand dabs) just in front of the golf course.

Pat, How far is Stillwater from MBK? And where's the best place to park?

It's only about 5 more miles down the road.  You take the 17 mile drive exit.  If you've never been there it is lots easier to follow someone who knows where the launch is.
Sunday is looking disappointing.  We want to hit the pinnacles at least one more time before lings close.  It looks like the best we can try for is to blast out to them at first light and beat it back when the swell starts beating us up.  :smt120   We want to make them one more time this year as that is where we have gotten our biggest lings.
Regardless of the outside swell, we will fish the cove.  We have nearly always caught a ling or two inside the cove, and it's always our first cabezon of the year.
Give a call (I think you have my cell) if you want to work out any other details..... :smt002

What time do you guys think You'll be there?
I had a 3 foot ling cod that had swallowed the rock fish I had hooked last weekend. If I would have had my gaff (*^@%@^!!@@#$!) I could have nabbed him, man he was BIG!

Randy and I hope to hit Stillwater either Saturday or Sunday.  It was major rocking last weekend.... :smt119
It doesn't look great this weekend but I REALLY wanna get out...
I'll post a note when we figure out which it will be.
I wonder if that was "my" lost ling....out by the inside pinnacle?

Got the word.  We will aim for Sunday since it looks slightly better regarding swell and we want to get to the pinnacles again.
BTW, there will be a very high tide at 8:30 so between dawn, 6:30 and then will probably be the best the day has to offer.  May be a short day between that and wind.......but you never know........ :smt006

Continue S on Hwy1 past Monterey
Take 17 mile scenic dr exit
pay your $8
after gate, go downhill
follow this road, veering right after a mile or so (stay on 17 mile Dr)
Make a LEFT into Pebble Beach Resort- toward BEACH & Tennis CLUB (it looks like you are driving into the golf course- you are)
Next LEFT- look for the Beach Club and coastal access signs
Continue all the way past the coastal access parking, and the beach club to the very back parking lot. kind of behind the beach club
Unload, then go back and park in the coastal access parking

Great directions, Steve.  Pebble Beach is quite the challenge the first time you head in.
The only correction is that the tarrif is $8.50 these days.....but warm showers at the end of the day are worth every cent!!! :smt005
