My old P15 doesn't have flush mounts behind the seat. I'm thinking about putting one flush mount tube, and one scotty flush mount, not the low profile one, but the one with the honkin' base.  The big base fits perfectly. It looks like this would let me easily troll two rods (one out and away). What i'm wondering about, is if that would pull out on a big jig strike-- say a 25 # albie, or a big dorado...whaddya think?

I would use some backing  and then as with any non metal rod holder; watch the amount of drag on the reel!
