Yah I've never seen a black ocean kayak before either.  The closest thing was the charcoal recycled ones.

I think this is a Navy SEAL edition.  It looks stealthy.

Hi GA:

How about some details on what wrong with the Hatch ?
Does the Hatch need a Gasket, Straps and or Rivets?
How old is the Hull and is Blk. the Original Color or, just painted on?

Hello Ernie,

Black is the original color of this Scupper Pro.  It has the OK logos, warnings, and other misc. decals still clearly visible.

The hatch gasket(rubber tube) that seals the hatch and the kayak has been separated.  A little adhesive should solve the problem as the rubber is in great condition(soft and pliable).

It's a gen 1(when OK still pierced the stern ear for rudder installation) SPTW, so I'd have to say the hull is over 3-5 years old.
