It was another great year camping along the ocean with the fam.  The WX was ideal for 3 days of ab diving and yakfishing.  My uncle had the hot stick with a 31" ling the first day and a 22.25" red the second.  The jumbo blacks were plentiful.  NCKA was there - Amphibian and SRJ joined in the fun.  The elk decided to stay around camp all weekend, and it just added to the Good Times.

Here's a couple movies:

Well, Mark, there's a guy named bluekayak....

It's a long story, really, and I'm pretty good at long stories.  "Good" being relative to how much a person really wants to hear/read a long story.  Open a beer, Bro, because I've got 10 minutes to kill on it.   :smt001

I used to share each location, by name or at least general vicinity.  My position has been (and still is, in my ideal little Pollyanna brain) that sharing is paramount to enjoying life, and, if we as a society are screwing things up so badly, hoarding will never be the answer because it's not conducive to the good life that I want, so, if we're screwing things up and feel that they shouldn't be shared with all (so as to save them, ya know), I felt that shedding light on these special places and their destruction in hopes of saving them is better than hoarding.  Make sense?  Read it again.  It's like this:  I feel we're better off all knowing about these places so we can all try to save them rather than only a few knowing and that few basically hoarding them...

Well, bluekayak loves to read my stories and watch my videos - he's said so, and he's not alone.  That makes me feel fantastic - I'm addicted to the wonderful strokes I get from it.  I have no problem with that.  I'm also somewhat addicted to the good feelings I get from sharing, but bluekayak kept advising me that leaving the locations of my adventures mysterious may be better than the alternative.  I finally decided that maybe he's right, so I am now somewhat vague about where I am and what I'm doing.  Only "somewhat" though, as I'm sure there are dozens on here who know exactly where I was and when I'll end up there again!

I'll send you a PM, Mark, that will neatly map out a route to finding exactly where I was.  It'll be a fun read if you have the time, so please indulge me and get back to me to say what it did for you.

Eric,

Thank you for the the trip via video mode. Very nicely done. Will try messing around with some of my footage this week, hoping to put something together. Expect a call or two.

Awsome vid's Abking. Can't believe how many elk were just standing there while you walked by. They must be pretty used to people. Thanks for the vid and keep up the good times with the family. Memories last forever in a childs mind.
