Met Kiel and his outlaws...oop I meant in-laws  :smt003 at 4:45am and loading up the kayaks.  Amazing how they can jam 4 kayaks into this small pickup truck!

We stopped on top of the hill to take a picture of the foggy valley.  What a beautiful view!

Met and said hello to Chad/Chadrock and Sarah

We carried the kayaks to the beach and getting ready to launch

The launch was a piece of cake since the water was FAC

A flock of birds flew over in nice formation

I tried my luck at the edge of the kelp bed

Saw lots of jellyfish swimming by so I tried to take an underwater picture of one

Caught a couple of Blacks & Coppers but no Ling so I paddled out to deeper water. Caught a couple more of Blacks, Chinas, and Copper again.  No love from Vermillion or Ling for me today!

What a nice day at the Fort.  That place is China heaven.  At least you didn't have to risk your life getting your kayaks down the hill.

Great report! It was nice to meet you guys out there. We couldn't have asked for a better day OTW. That back-up definitely gave us all time to reflect on the day's events. What a view though.

Here is another the shot of the FAC ocean!

Someone mentioned that day about a possible missing ab diver.  We saw the coast guard's vessel anchored in the shallow and looks like they're doing somekind of search and recovery activity!  I searched the news this morning but found nothing about it.  Anybody know/hear something about this?

Man, glad they got that jam figured out by the time The Horseshoe Challengers headed home.

When I went through there at 5:45PM they had a CHP officer waiving people through.

Nice day on the water fellas (and lady!). Thanks for the report.

Kiel

I wonder if something wash chasing it for dinner?  I saw thing on a show once where a seal jumped in boat when it was being chased by a GWS.

Maybe those divers were looking for the missing ab dinner.

They're using SCUBA gears!
