The "normal" crew met up in Bodega Bay at four thirty this morning for a comparatively short run for albacore. Thirty miles out we landed our first fish soon after putting the lines out and then it was a long wait for the next fish. A couple hours later two lines lit up and we managed to land only one. Mostly it was single fish all day at about one an hour. I managed a first today. Patrick was fighting a fish so after clearing the other lines I tossed an iron out on light tackle and landed a nice 25+ pounder....Bonus Fish! Most of the other fish were of the same class and up. One fish went into the high thirties....sweet! Nothing like an offshore fishing adventure in your own backyard!

If I didn't like you so much I'd say I hate you!
VERY nice job you guys.
One of these days I will get to hook into one of those. One of these days.
So what's it like to fish the ocean w/o immersion protection and PFD's?  :smt044

Nice vid, Patrick!  Too cool to see action that we can't get on the yaks near shore.  Way to pump out a vid on the same day as an offshore trip.   :smt001
